Golen Power recently completed delivery of its 500kW/1205kWh solar-energy-storage-diesel microgrid project in Africa, officially providing stable power to the industrial park. Located in a newly built industrial park in Africa, the project focuses on addressing the park's production power needs. The park's initial planned load was approximately 1MW, with significant inductive loads. Due to the number of established companies and the periodic operating rate, the first phase of the project utilized a 500kW integrated solar-energy-storage unit to build a solar-energy-storage-diesel microgrid energy storage system, leaving room for expansion as load increases, enabling flexible adaptation to the park's development pace.
As a purely off-grid system, the project site lacks public grid support. A 600kW diesel generator set serves as a backup power source, ensuring energy supply continuity under extreme operating conditions. The planned PV system has a capacity of 720kWp, connected in 10 routes to the corresponding DC/DC modules of the integrated solar-storage system. This system improves clean energy utilization through efficient solar energy conversion. The energy storage system utilizes a DC-coupled solution, with five 241kWh battery cabinets connected to the battery side of the integrated solar-storage system after being combined via a DC combiner cabinet. This creates a coordinated power supply system combining photovoltaics, energy storage, and diesel generators, effectively balancing load fluctuations and optimizing energy scheduling efficiency.
This project not only represents another achievement for Golen Power in microgrid system technology research and development and its overseas applications, but also demonstrates its ability to provide customized solutions for complex operating conditions and dynamic load scenarios. Going forward, Golen Power will continue to prioritize technological innovation, providing reliable support for energy security and green development in more regions around the world.
